All about the Loeries... - 17 Aug 2015

By Leigh Andrews

The Loeries Awards 2015 took place this past weekend, and with it brought the parties, the fashion, the creativity and more.

Everything you need to know exactly what happened throughout Loeries Creative Week Durban, can be found in our dedicated Loeries Special Section. Be sure to view all Saturday & Sunday night winners, the galleries, video interviews and more.

Bizcommunity was at the event, and Leigh Andrews comments on the how the new service design category serves as a wake-up call for any brand. She states that local advertising is shifting focus to every customer interaction point.

Our media correspondent at the Loeries, Ann Nurock, interviewed senior vice president - consumer & market insights at Unilever, Stan Sthanunathan, and dived deeper into what is needed for great creativity in the marketing industry. Sthanunathan was one of this year's international speakers at the DStv Seminar of Creativity, which took place on Friday 14 August.

And on the topic of the Seminar, Leigh Andrews pinpoints four lessons in letting your creativity flourish, and picked up on a common theme that resonated in some of the talks: The importance of not losing touch with what makes you tick as a creative while your work changes the world for good.

We've also announced the winners of our #loeries2015 Instagram competition. Congratulations to the five winners!
