There were some great lessons for SA creatives from SXSW, held in Texas in March. NATIVE VML's Head of Social Media, Amanda Sevasti, attended the festival and shared her favourite moments at a select gathering last week.

That leads to the future of digital marketing in South Africa, with Ben Evans of Ogilvy & Mather South Africa stating that brands will quickly find themselves becoming irrelevant if they place their attention anywhere other than on all things digital.

This commitment to advertising effectiveness is why Tony Koenderman writes M&C Saatchi heads the AdReview Creative Leaderboard as of May 2015, with its recent global One Show wins and local Creative Circle Feb-March rankings placing it top of the local agencies.
