SoccerZone back on SABC
Revitalised SoccerZone, the action-packed review show of live soccer matches, is back on SABC1 on Mondays live, at 9pm and repeats on Tuesdays at noon.
As part of the innovations, SABC will bring in its radio commentators to provide the narration over each of the match highlights. This will display the strength of the SABC Sport productions by merging the power of Radio and TV and make sure the show remains dynamic, with multiple language commentary across the spectrum. Cebo Manyaapelo, Thabo Kofa, Sidney Mashige are some of the radio talent providing commentary and narrative to the highlights package.
The new show will be more interactive with the audience, via phone-ins and will invite one of its viewers as a guest. Taking the show to the people, it will also broadcast live from a venue outside studio, once a month to create a touch point for our audiences thereby remaining the mirror of its audiences. They will get to ask questions, make comments, analyse and vote in order to engineer the kind of show that they want to watch.
The show has retained fan favourites, 'Moemish of the week', 'Moment of Brilliance' and 'Goal of the Week'. It has two hosts, Thomas Mlambo and Minnie Dlamini.
