Footprint Marketing Awards announces sponsor

The South African Council of Shopping Centres has announced that Head Count Systems will be the sole sponsor of the 2003 Footprint Marketing Awards.

The Footprint Marketing Awards will be awarded on 13 October 2003 at the 8th Annual African Congress of Shopping Centres at the Cape Town Convention Centre. The awards will recognise excellence in shopping centre marketing awarding the centres that have made a significant contribution to shopping centre industry through marketing.

George Skinner, Executive Director of the South African Council of Shopping Centres, states "On behalf of the members of the council I wish to formally convey our thanks to Head Count Systems for their valued sponsorship support of the Awards. This is a new project and we are confident these awards will quickly become recognised within the retailing and shopping centre industry as ones to which the centres will aspire to achieve."

The following people have been kind enough to offer their time to the Council to assist in judging: Professor Ludi Koekemoer, AAA School, Thebe Ikalafeng, Managing Director of Brand Leadership (Pty) Ltd, Kevin Collins, Vega The Brand Communication School, Larin Allison, Marketing Manager of Head Count Systems, and George Skinner.

The Council also takes pleasure in announcing that a total of 46 entries have been received. The interest in the Awards has been overwhelming and an indication that the awards will grow from strength to strength in the years to come.
