The Pendoring Awards - which celebrate and encourage the use of Afrikaans advertising, as well as Truly South African communication for Afrikaans advertising - will this year be part of Creative Week Cape Town, on Friday evening, 21 September 2012. For the first time, too, the Loeries judging week and judges' seminars will also be held in the Mother City during Creative Week.
Pendoring, Loeries judging and the seminar have in the past been held in Johannesburg.

Now in its third year, Creative Week Cape Town aims to promote the creative industry throughout the week. This year, 15 - 23 September, will include a host of activities.

Creative Week will include a planned expo and many other fringe events. and the 34th Annual Loerie Awards ceremonies will bring Creative Week to a close on Saturday 22 and Sunday 23 September at the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC).

"A feather in Pendoring's cap"

Enthuses Pendoring GM Franette Klerck, "The invitation to become part of Creative Week Cape Town is a feather in Pendoring's cap as a large number of creatives from all disciplines, as well as marketers and media representatives, are expected to once again flock to the Mother City in September, thus ensuring excellent exposure for Afrikaans and truly South African creative work," she adds.

"As change invariably brings innovation, the Pendoring board and management are very excited about this positive move."

Comments Andrew Human, outgoing CEO of The Loerie Awards, "The aim of Creative Week is to promote one of South Africa's best natural resources - our creative talent. The creative industry is set to become a major sector of our economy and we want to promote the value of creativity in business. This year's changes will allow marketers and agencies to participate and be inspired by the great work that is being done."

Loeries' judging week will run Monday 17 Thursday 20 September and will bring all the country's leading judges and international jury chairmen to Cape Town for the duration. Finalists will be announced throughout the week and the finalist work will be on display for Loerie delegates and the public to view. The Loeries judges' seminar will take place on Friday 21 September and will include international marketers and creative leaders.
