2014 Assegai Awards entries open in June
"This year, the Direct Marketing Association of Southern Africa (DMASA) is excited to announce that the Assegai Awards will have new vigour and energy, has new partners on board, bringing a fresh outlook along with them. The association will be relooking at all aspects of the awards journey to understand how it can facilitate and drive the mandate of its strategic objective - achieving excellence within the industry through education," explains Alastair Tempest, COO of the DMASA. "Our partnership with our main sponsor, the South African Post Office, remains strong, and it continues to support these awards."
Marketing communication channel
Janras Kotsi, group executive: Mail Business of the South African Post Office says, "Our sponsorship is not only strategic to us; it is a rich source of information, which continues to be invaluable to us in our quest to grow the usage of mail as a marketing communication channel."
"Recent changes at the Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) mean that the awards landscape for 2014 has changed. Because of this, we look forward to receiving more entries from the digital interactive media space. There is innovative and exciting work being done in this sector, and we would like to make sure that all their accomplishments are rewarded.
"Those who would like to enter have some time to select their best work for consideration. It will be the ideal opportunity for organisations to highlight new and exciting ways of leveraging communication and sharing the thinking and rationale behind the process," concludes Tempest.
