New ticketing system, programme for PR-Net

PR-Net has announced that it has moved its ticketing system to Quicket and its five events for May.

In Pretoria on May 8, from 9am-10:30am, Beeld's news editor, Virginia Keppler, will talk to delegates over a light breakfast about how to maximise shrinking newsrooms and what constitutes print-ready copy from her perspective. The venue is Sappi's Technology Centre in Pretoria, 1 Sydney Brenner Street, The Innovation Hub, Pretoria, 0087.

In Cape Town, on May 13, between 2-6pm, Dax Villanueva of Relax with Dax, teaches Twitter training for PR professionals at Hotel Verde, 15 Michigan Street, Airport Industria.

Also in Cape Town, on May 14, from 12:30-2pm, Naashon Zalk says that online video is a crucial engagement tool for PR professionals. The venue for this lunchtime session is the new Rosebank Theatre, Alma Road, Rosebank, Cape Town.

On Tuesday, May 20, at Sappi in Braamfontein in Johannesburg, between 12-2pm. Mail & Guardian editor-in-chief Chris Roper talks print vs online, over lunch.

Still in Johannesburg, on June 12 at 5:30pm at All Suite on Fourteenth in Randburg, multiple award winner digital maverick and former stand-up comic, Mike Sharman lectures on social media PR.
