The Audit Bureau of Circulations (ABC) yesterday, Thursday, 6 March 2008, released the results of this week's ABC board review of Finweek's request that the decision to exclude ‘Business Subscriptions' obtained from inter-group transactions be reconsidered.
States Charles Beiles, ABC GM, “The board decided that such circulation could not be included in ‘Business Subscriptions', but agreed that it could be included in the category ‘3rd Party Bulk Sales'. The board further decided to implement a rule amendment that would specifically prohibit inter-group sales from being included in circulation, effective from 1 April, 2008.”
