Clickatell to launch CRM tool at CEBIT

Cape Town's Clickatell will be launching their latest product offering, Community Builder, at this year's CeBIT show (13 - 20 March) in Hannover, Germany.

Using Community Builder, any web site is able to capture site visitors' details, manage these details in a database, and then use it to communicate via SMS and e-mail to targeted segments of that virtual community. All that is required is for the business or web site to define the branding for the data collection form, and the information fields that need to be captured on-line, and Clickatell will dynamically generate the forms and database structures required for immediate integration into any web site.

Community Builder further allows the client to profile its customers, and send them information which is specific, relevant and sent with the recipient's consent. This highly targeted segmentation allowed by the product is a key feature functionality, according to Clickatell, as it will enable communication that the recipient has requested, based on the fields set by the business and which are relevant for the individual to receive on his mobile device.

This form of client empowerment facilitates database building as well as e-mail and SMS communication at the click of a button, and is in line with Clickatell's philosophy of client enablement. Clickatell gives businesses and individuals powerful SMS tools that have to date been largely inaccessible. This approach has been the key to Clickatell's success to date, allowing the relatively young company to have generated over 95% of their revenue from outside South Africa!

Clickatell will further use the opportunity to strengthen its relationships with some of its key clients, and at the same time explore new potential distribution- and reseller partnerships.

According to Geoff Hainebach, Chairman of Clickatell and ex-CEO of Siemens SA, "The market has really dictated that we be at CeBIT this year. We are in the fortunate position of being approached by potential partners on a daily basis, and we believe that this event will allow us to build on existing relationships and partnerships, whilst at the same time evaluating new opportunities."

"We are further appreciative to CITI and Wesgro for having made this opportunity available, which allows a number of top Cape Town IT companies to exhibit under the Cape Town brand," Hainebach continues. Clickatell is one of a few leading companies who have been afforded the opportunity to exhibit at CeBIT under the Cape Town banner.
