Extension for PRISA Prism awards

The deadline for entries to South Africa's public relations awards, the Prisms, has been extended. The deadline has been extended to this Friday, February 4, 2005. Now in their eighth year, the PRISM's aim to give recognition to PR success stories and to recognise excellence in public relations and communication management. They also aspire to set and raise the bar for the local industry.

Public relations consultancies, individual practitioners and corporate and government in-house departments have a choice of 23 categories to enter, which together encompass the diverse disciplines of this multi-faceted industry.

"We seldom get the opportunity to measure our success and performance as practitioners or consultancies against our peers and the industry benchmarks, and these awards offer us just that!" says Morné Ebersohn, chairman of the PRISA Public Relations Consultants Chapter.

Winners will be announced in front of the biggest names in the industry at a glamorous ceremony at La Toscana at Monte Casino on March 17. The overall winning entry will be entered into the International Public Relations Association's Golden World Awards for Excellence in Public Relations
