Health food range, Futurelife, has announced its partnership with South African swimming star, Olympic Gold Medalist and South African sportsman of the year, Chad le Clos. (video)
As a fast growing South African health brand, Futurelife has reportedly become the brand of choice for consumers that want to take charge of their health. It is described as nutrient rich, tasty and convenient with something for everyone. Scientifically formulated to be South Africa's first and only high energy, high protein, high dietary fibre, low GI food to contain 25 vitamins, minerals, inulin and omega 3; it also contains Moducare®, a clinically tested immune supplement supplied exclusively by Aspen Pharmacare.
Whether you are a sportsperson or athlete who needs energy for workouts or training; a mom looking for a wholesome way for your family to start the day; or a diabetic looking for a low GI food; the brand has a variant for you. All of the products can be enjoyed as cereals or shakes, with water, milk, soy milk, rice milk, yoghurt or juice.
"Before I was recommended Futurelife by a friend, I would seldom eat breakfast - but now I eat it every morning as a meal before training. The Original Smart Food flavour is my favourite. On the day that I won the gold medal, I ate Futurelife and I cannot imagine not starting my day without it. It gives me energy to train hard and keeps me full without that heavy, bloated feeling in my stomach to sustain me throughout my intense training sessions," says Le Clos.
Like all of the sportspeople the company sponsors, Le Clos was already a fan of Futurelife when he approached them. This is important to the company since it believes that its best advocates are those who have personally experienced, and believe in, the benefits of the products.
The partnership was kicked off with the new Futurelife TV commercial, in which both Chad and his father star. Produced and shot in Cape Town, the commercial tells the true and inspiring story of how Chad used Futurelife, on the morning of his gold medal win at the London Olympics.
