To celebrate its one year anniversary, Loom, a men's multi-brand fashion store in Parkhurst has collaborated with Honest Chocolate to release a one year anniversary edition slab and it is inviting creatives to design the chocolate's wrapper.
The competition, which closes for entries on 2pm on 23 August 2012, has an open brief for creatives to design the packaging for a unique flavoured chocolate: 72% cacao with a hint of cayenne pepper, cinnamon and vanilla, which will be sold exclusively at the store in a limited edition of 365 slabs to represent its first year of trade.
Download the chocolate wrapper die line here (the template is a Photoshop PSD file). The blue block in the template represents the chocolate - this block should contain all the important elements of the design. The pink lines represent the edge of the wrapper. Artwork from the blue block may spread all the way to the pink lines. However, artwork outside of the blue block will not be clearly visible once the chocolate is wrapped. Ensure that the top "Loom x Honest" logo and bottom "Raw Organic Cacao" logos are visible - do not tamper with the placement of these logos.
Submit entries in JPEG format (300 dpi no bigger than 1 MB) to (subject line: "Loom x Honest"), including full name, cell number and email address. Keep a copy of the entry in PSD format on the computer. Multiple entries are welcome, but each entry needs to be sent in a separate email.
The top three finalists will be announced on the store's Facebook page and the public will then be able to vote for its favourite design from 27-29 August 2012. The winner and runners-up will be announced on the Facebook page on 31 August 2012. The first prize is a R2000 Loom voucher plus an Honest Chocolate hamper. The second and third runners-up each receive a R1000 Loom voucher, plus an Honest Chocolate hamper.
