Searching for South Africa's exceptional inventors

17 Jun 2014 10:04
The Innovation Summit has launched the 'Inventors' Garage' competition to find South Africa's exceptional inventors, who may enter their invention, discovery, design, model or prototype in any industry to win a share of R25,000.
Searching for South Africa's exceptional inventors
Any individual, group or team can enter the online competition. There are three entry categories for the competition: the open category where any inventor over 18 years old can submit an entry; the junior inventors' category for under-19s; and the industry specific category, which will be announced later. First prize is R15,000 cash and the public is encouraged to 'like' the inventions that are uploaded onto Facebook - the invention with the most likes on Facebook gets R5,000 cash.

All participants have to do is go to www.innovationsummit.co.za/inventors-garage-competition and submit their entry by the closing date of 20 August 2014.
