M&C Saatchi have changed their business arrangements in South Africa from a wholly owned agency to locally owned affiliation.
This move reflects the desire of the South African founders, Nina Morris and Angel Jones to have more control of the development of the business in the future. The newly formed MorrisJones Agency has acquired 100% of the share capital in the agency, which was founded in January 2001 and whose clients include "no frills airline" Kulula.com, BA/Comair, Hollard Insurance and Finance Week/F&T. Billings are R32 million and the agency ranks 21 in the South African market.
M&C Saatchi will continue its affiliation with MorrisJones & Company for its international clients.
M&C Saatchi has this year opened new offices in Shanghai and Tokyo and is also set to expand its business on the West Coast of America in Los Angeles.
