One Show Design Golds for Trillion Dollar

NEW YORK: TBWA\Hunt\Lascaris Johannesburg's Trillion Dollar campaign for The Zimbabwean newspaper scooped two Golds at the One Show Design awards last night, Monday, 10 May 2010, at the IAC Building in New York City, according to Designtaxi.com.

Gavin Heron, TBWA\Hunt\Lascaris Johannesburg group MD, told Bizcommunity: "We're really really chuffed. To win two Golds at One Show is an amazing achievement for TBWA\Hunt\Lascaris and The Zimbabwean newspaper. I don't think either of us [referring to Damon Stapleton] ever dreamed that this campaign would become so awarded globally. And it's great for South African advertising as well. Shows that as a country we are able to punch way above our weight!"

The Trillion Dollar campaign recently won an ADC Gold Cube and double Gold at the international Andy Awards held by the The Advertising Club of New York, and was instrumental in the recent naming of TBWA\Hunt\Lascaris as joint AdReview Agency of the Decade. This is in additional to various awards won in 2009.

How many more will it win? There are still further One Show award ceremonies to come this week, then there's Clios on 26 and 27 May, the Apex Awards on 27 May, and D&AD on 3 June.
