Gold Lion for Lowe Bull Johannesburg

Lowe Bull Johannesburg last night, Wednesday, 20 June 2007, walked off with South Africa's only Gold Lion in the Press category for its Axe "Get a Girlfriend" campaign for Unilever SA Home & Personal Care at the 54th International Cannes Advertising Festival.

The creative team behind the three-part Axe campaign – Milk Bottle, Costume and Highland Dancer – is executive creative director Gareth Lessing, copywriter Matthew Brink, art director Adam Livesey and photographer Clive Stewart.

Interactive Media Agency of the Year went to:

    1. Crispin Porter + Bogusky, Miami

    2. Africa Propaganda, São Paulo

    3. Forsman & Bodenfors, Gothenburg

This award is given to the agency in one country that obtains the highest score for entries in the Cyber Lions section, irrespective of whether these have been entered by the agency or another party.

Media Agency of the Year (announced the night before, Tuesday, 19 June) went to:

    1. OMD USA, US

    2. Dentsu, Tokyo, Japan
    Adk, Tokyo, Japan
    3. Zig, Toronto, Canada
    Walker, Zurich, Switzerland

    Fire Advertainment, Acassuso, Argentina

This award is given to the agency in one country that obtains the highest score for entries in the Media Lions section, irrespective of whether these have been entered by the agency or another party.
