Markex surfs into KZN next month

The continued success of Markex Gauteng has set a precedent for the launch of the inaugural Markex KZN 2007 event, to be held in Durban at the International Convention Centre from 14 - 16 August.

Over 10 000 people visited the Gauteng event at Sandton Convention Centre in June and Exhibitions for Africa - organisers of Markex KZN - are positive the Durban exhibition will be as successful.

Markex showcases marketing and promotional products.

"There are a number of corporates based in Durban or with their head offices situated there, so the market demand for an exhibition of this nature has been growing for some time and we felt the time was right to respond to this demand," says Lynn Chamier, director of Exhibitions for Africa.

She says the show will give industry players an opportunity to meet the market face-to-face, generate high-quality sales and build brand awareness.
Chamier's enthusiasm is echoed by businesses who will be exhibiting their products and services at Markex KZN.

"We are happy to be exhibiting in Durban because Markex gives us an opportunity to meet our clients and customers in KZN on a more personal level," added Justin Hawes, managing director of Scan Display Solutions, whose award winning stand designs exhibit at Markex every year.

"We have a big investment in Durban and this gives us opportunities for exposure and a chance to increase business."

Chamier stresses Markex attracts key decision makers and buyers from the industry, including brand managers, business owners and creative directors.

"I would have to say that all round it is a fantastic opportunity for industry players and for the city of Durban," she says.
