Ford Motor Company of Southern Africa (FMCSA) has recently introduced its Driving Skills for Life (DSFL) programme to Grade 12 learners in Mpumalanga. The initiative is part of Ford's DSFL safety aspect of the programme, Strive for Safer Driving. 
Nissan South Africa's managing director Mike Whitfield has announced that the company is preparing for a capacity increase at its Rosslyn-based plant that will bring about job creation. The announcement coincided with a visit to the South African operation by the chief operating officer of Nissan Motor Company Limited, Toshiyuki Shiga. 
Harley-Davidson is celebrating 110 years of classic motorcycles and classic good times. As a rolling tribute to this milestone, it will produce a limited run of 110th anniversary editions of select 2013 motorcycles that continue a tradition of commemorating the history of the motor company. 
Increased production at Ford's Silverton Assembly Plant and Struandale Engine Plant has resulted in the creation of 800 new positions. Ford will add a second shift to its Silverton Assembly Plant and a third shift at its Struandale Engine Plant on 3 September, due to continued strong demand for the Ford Ranger pick-up truck. Training of potential employees to fill the new positions began in June this year.
