may be able to fire an employee who has slagged off the company, or an individual or two, on some social media platform. However, employers might be on shaky ground if they demand from an employee, or an applicant for employment, their personal, private usernames and passwords.
So, employers need to be aware that
legislation protects employees against social media prying, and issues in that area need to be handled with great care.

Wool prices softened at this week's sale as the volume of orders from China and Europe tapered off, with the Cape Wools' Merino indicator shedding 1% compared with the previous sale a fortnight ago to close at R98.11/kg (clean). 
According to Business Live, South African Agricultural Machinery Association (Saama) data showed that tractor sales rose 43.5% to 528 units last month, compared with 368 units sold in the comparative period of 2011. Tractor sales were up 38.3% to 2,763 units, from 1,998 units in the same period last year.
