My name is Marcio Rafael Quintal, I am the Creative Director at Blue Pencil Creative based in Melrose Estate, Johannesburg.
With experience across many different design disciplines such as brand management, web development/design, UX design and all other forms of multimedi, and as a multidisciplinary designer and marketing professional I am constantly exploring new ways to expand my skills and knowledge within an ever adapting creative industry, driven by the 4th industrial revolution.
In 2014 I entered the realm of South African current affairs and graphic journalism working at The Citizen newspaper, and in 2015 I expanded my experience by becoming a culture analyst for EYT Cultural Strategists who's industry focus is business consulting towards change management and corporate culture.
In early 2017 I took up a short term contract as the Group Marketing Coordinator for Rubio Monocoat Africa and Forest Flooring, based in Kyalami, where I utilised all my experience in driving their respective marketing objectives and further developing their digital footprint and marketing collateral, particularly through project case study and testimonial development, and social media marketing. Thereafter I joined Tianshi SA (Pty) Ltd (TIENS) as the companies regional Graphic Designer for Africa. TIENS is a multinational company which specialises in traditional Chinese health foods and other health science technologies and has further developed their product range into cosmetics and other household products. As the regional Graphic Designer I am responsible for further development of the company's network marketing material and channels of communication for distributor and client engagement throughout their branches in Africa. This includes social media, marketing, events management and procurement responsibilities.
I know that my dedicated skills in business, marketing/media, design, together with my diverse eclectic experiences allow me to guide brands into the future way of thinking.
As a proficient communicator I am experienced in a full range of creative and productivity software packages and applications and I am always comfortable with learning new technologies.
