Why do we have to pay so much for something that is freely available online?

i'm always concerned with the amount of money charged by organisers of online this & online that conferences.

surely one can get whatever information that the speakers share with the delegates free/cheap online.

nothing is below a thousand rand on all these sessions...honestly this is a rip-off.
