The business realities of AR and storytelling - 24 Oct 2016

By Leigh Andrews

The business realities of AR and storytelling - Mon, 24 Oct 2016I've finally reached the end of my #BeyondRetail2016 conference coverage, with an overview of the final panel session. In it, Bruce Whitfield asked the day's speakers about future retail trends and how continued technological advancement and disruption is set to shake up the local retail industry.

Tied to this aspect of innovation, Johan Walters writes that augmented reality is no longer the exclusive domain of the CMO. For example, just imagine how adding AR enhancements to your printed business cards can turn those pieces of cardboard into a way to tell your, and your company's, story.

One agency that excels at storytelling - and in the #Loeries2016 rankings - is Ogilvy SA. Ogilvy EMEA announced as the top ranked agency network in Africa & the Middle East, Pete Case ranked as top chief creative officer 2016, Mariana O'Kelly ranked as top ECD 2016, Tseliso Rangaka ranked as fifth best ECD 2016 and Katie Mylrea, one of this year's Young Creative winners. Find out about their personal mentors and the creative industry newcomers they take their hats off to.

Read on and ready yourself for the digital future...
