Get the “Big Picture” at IFRA Expo 2008

DARMSTADT, GERMANY: Under the motto “Get the Big Picture!”, the 16th annual IFRA Expo will take place in Amsterdam, the capital of the Netherlands, 27 - 30 October 2008, at the RAI exhibition centre

Comments IFRA CEO Reiner Mittelbach, “IFRA Expo is the only exhibition that presents all products and services for those working in the media. It shows the entire picture, not only parts of it. At the same time is a symbol of IFRA's claim to be the leading platform worldwide for technology and business. As such, it is a must for newspaper specialists.”

More than 240 exhibitors and service providers have booked nearly 13 000 m² stand space. IFRA also expects approximately 10 000 newspaper experts from more than 80 countries to attend the event as visitors.

Accompanying events open to every visitor, attendance both free and charged, that focus on topics of current interest, as well as special exhibitions connected with IFRA's international competitions, complement the overview of the latest technological developments offered by IFRA Expo and provide the suitable platforms for international decision-makers to exchange information and opinions:

  • From 19 to 25 October, the Pre-IFRA Expo Study Tour “Semi-commercial Printing in Europe” visits various newspaper houses in Europe.
  • Five (charged) Focus Sessions held under the heading “Newspapers Today” take place 27 - 29 October on the following topics: business and management, advertising business, newspaper production, colour and quality management, newsroom strategies (in English as well as other languages in case of sufficient demand).

  • The (charged) “Customer Insight” Workshop (in English) on 30 October leads to a better customer understanding.
