As the frontperson for South African supergroup, Freshlyground, Zolani has endeared herself to millions of fans with her warmth, megawatt smile and gentle, thoughtful presence.

First public appearance

Since the birth of her first child, Zolani has devoted herself to Zazi, who is just over two months old.

On Friday, she will make her first public appearance as a new mom, as she takes on the challenge of hosting the Redi Tlhabi show on 567 CapeTalk and Talk Radio 702 as the Friday Stand-in.

Each week, the stations choose a different high profile personality to host the Friday show while Redi is on maternity leave.

Zolani will be in the hotseat this week, tackling topics as diverse as tech, comedy, science and sex with regular guests. She will also need to manage a range of listeners' views and opinions on the open line and share some of her own ideas.
