Sparrows Village benefits from CSI donation

Sparrows Village, a place of safety and shelter for adults and children who have been infected or affected by the HIV/AIDS pandemic, received a substantial donation from the Integr8 Group, one of South Africa's largest privately owned national BEE ICT network integration and infrastructure management specialists. The Village is both a hospice for the terminally ill as well as a home for orphaned and abandoned children.

Management and staff at the company enjoy a special relationship with those who run one of the fundraising programs for Sparrows Village, the Rivers Foundation and with those for whom the institution represents a lifeline of hope and much needed daily care.

This year, members of staff joined executive management to make an official donation of festive packs, including toys and hampers, for the children ahead of Christmas. At the same time, the company, with the Rivers Foundation, also hosted a Christmas party for the staff and children at Sparrows Village.

An amazing day

“What an amazing day,” said Tami Sussman, regional director, Integr8 Group. “We are very blessed to be a part of the development and growth of a wonderful organisation that touches the lives of people and communities every day. The care and dedication they show, the hope they offer and the spirit of compassion and love with which they do it, epitomises the spirit of goodwill throughout the festive season.”

Whilst it is not the only organisation being assisted by the Integr8 Group, it holds a special place in the hearts and minds of staff and management. “We would like the opportunity to continue to hopefully make a difference to the lives of those for who time and happiness hold so much more meaning,” added Sussman.

The Rivers Foundation and Sparrows Village thanked the company for its generosity and its ongoing unwavering commitment to the organisation and the work it is doing in communities.

“We are proud to be associated with the company and have enjoyed a long relationship. We appreciate their support and would like each member of the Integr8 team to know that their kindness goes a long way to making a difference to those in need,” said Nuska Mirriam Zwane, administrator, The Rivers Foundation.
