Ingratitude Breeds Condemnation: The Truth Shall Set Us Free is set for release in the second week of next month and will be available at most bookstores.
The book, which he describes as "strong-worded", tackles issues such as culture, economics, Mampone's marriage - which ended in divorce - and indebtedness.
The 58-year-old says the book, which is his first, uses the character of Caleb Moshate to tell the author's life story.
Mampone's 2011 dismissal from the SABC was marred by controversy, which Caleb explores.
"When I was tipped off by someone that my suspension would result in a dismissal, I thought this person was lying," Mampone says.
"I was found guilty of only six charges out of 15."
Mampone says he regrets staying at the corporation until he was fired because he lost his reputation.
"I have come full circle as a man, father and employee," Mampone says.
"I am telling a story of hope through this book. And I want people to learn from my mistakes."
He now runs a small media consultancy called Cherubim Media.
SABC spokesman Kaizer Kganyago said: "At the moment, we [SABC] just have to wait for the book [to] see what he says in [it]. Until then, we have nothing to say about the contents."
