Pienaar, who has led the Johannesburg office for six years, will continue to lead strategic client campaigns for the company, including the management of the agency's expanded partner strategy to support key clients in select African countries.

De Pons-James, who previously led the Cape Town office of a competitive global agency, has provided communications counsel to global, regional and local business leaders for more than 25 years.
