Saatchi & Saatchi account for Marcus Brewster

Saatchi & Saatchi has appointed Marcus Brewster Publicity (MBP) as its PR agency of record, it was announced on Friday, 14 March 2008. MBP will be responsible for reputation management of the Saatchi brand, as well as servicing the media liaison requirements of the advertising agency's Cape Town and Johannesburg offices.

In addition to showcasing the work done, MBP will also address the PR requirements of various business units in the Saatchi group, including the African network (Saatchi Africa), the digital operation (Saatchi & Saatchi AtPlay) and the retail offering (Saatchi & Saatchi X).

"The account prospects are enormous" acknowledges MBP CEO Marcus Brewster. "Not only are we championing Saatchi's creative excellence, but we also get to engage with Saatchi's own clients to ensure that any big idea benefits from a PR roll-out as well. Gail Curtis has invited us to ‘challenge meetings' with her agency's clients so that we can bring PR ideas and value to ensure that all communications activity is maximised.”

Part of the Publicis Groupe, the fourth largest communications holding company, Saatchi & Saatchi handles over 40 multinational companies, including Procter & Gamble, Toyota, General Mills, Novartis, Sony Ericcson, Emirates Airline, Deutsche Telekom/T-mobile and Visa Europe.

Comments Saatchi Group CEO Curtis, "Brewster's award-winning track record speaks of a PR firm that can deliver consistently, passionately and creatively. We like their ability to leverage benefit so that a Saatchi campaign for client punches above its weight through PR amplification of brand messaging. Our experience of partnering with them previously has shown us the value of the returns. We liked them so much for our clients, we decided to appoint MBP for ourselves as well!"
