Just for the kids (but adults can have a taste too)
There's a mouth-watering menu from Kauai, exclusively for children. Now the whole family can sit down together and enjoy fresh and delicious meals at the good mood food company.
Your kids can try Breakfast Face (R12.90) – scrambled eggs, low GI toast, cucumber, carrots and tomato sauce arranged on a plate to look just like a face. Eggs are a fantastic source of protein for kids, vital for growth, development and energy.
And what about all of you trying the fruit platter (11.90) with the delicious choc dip – a selection of seasonal fruits with the Kauai speciality choc cream cheese dipping sauce, made with a dollop of chocolate spread.
Kiddie's smoothies come in a range of flavours such as Sassy Strawberry, Choc-o-holic, Banana Boat and the dairy-free Mini Mango Bang (R8.90 each). All are 250ml and made from pure fruit juice with no preservatives and colourants. Pure fruit juice provides kids with energy and much needed Vitamin C and Vitamin B6. Rather than table sugar, honey is used to sweeten some of the smoothies. Honey has a low glycaemic index, meaning it takes longer to absorb into the bloodstream resulting in a healthier digestion process.
Also new is the range of delicious and healthy burgers… Chicken or Vegetarian Burgers (R18.90 each) all prepared on a nutritious soy-linseed roll with low-fat, egg-free mayo and a delicious BBQ sauce. Linseed is rich in omega 3, vital for development of the brain and eyes.
All products are MSG and tartrazine free. No food is fried and the brand's mayonnaise is egg-free, making it suitable for vegetarians. The Kauai Kids menu is available at all Full Concept Stores countrywide.
