Indian cricket tour live on TV, radio

Cricket South Africa (CSA) and the SABC have concluded a deal relating to the 2010/2011 season, which will enable fans to watch the India tour of South Africa, which includes three Castle Test matches, five MTN One Day Internationals and one Standard Bank International Pro20 match, live on SABC 3 or catch it as a live ball-by-ball commentary on Radio 2000.

CSA CEO Gerald Majola said, "We are particularly encouraged by SABC's willingness to give cricket this much exposure on its various platforms. Over and above the India tour coverage, we have agreed with SABC to launch a weekly magazine show, which will showcase South African cricket, both at international and domestic level. This show will launch after the 2011 Cricket World Cup."

SABC Acting GCEO Robin Nicholson said, "Part of our mandate is to provide the nation with quality sports programming. This deal with CSA to broadcast the Indian Tour live, as well as the new magazine show, is an indication of the corporation's commitment to sporting codes of national importance. This tour also comes at time when we as a country are celebrating 150 years of Indian settlement in South Africa."

The first Castle Test match takes place at SuperSport Park in Centurion from 16-20 December 2010.
