• Checking facts, verify and make changes on articles, stories and newspaper
• Writing editorial pieces to contribute to the publication
• Providing suggestions for edits when necessary
• Assign articles or stories to journalists and set deadlines
• Ensure timely publication
• Coordinate online or print publication cycle and manage areas of contents
• Responsible for ensuring that content is clear, easily understood, interesting and accurate
• Decide on the layout for publishing
• Design page layout ensuring that stories are correctly placed on pages,right length, sizing photographs and placing within features
• Respecting publishing guidelines

• Bachelor’s degree/diploma in journalism/communication or equivalent
• Five years of proven experience as an editor
• Attention to detail
• Writing and language
• Interpersonal communication skills
• Editor skills
