    International Business Awards announces honourees

    ISTANBUL, TURKEY: Organizations and individuals from 28 nations, including first-time winners Israel, Kenya, and the Philippines, have been announced as StevieR Award winners in the 7th Annual International Business Awards, claimed to be the world's only international, all-encompassing business awards program.

    Nicknamed the Stevies from the Greek word "crowned," the awards will be presented at a gala banquet ceremony on Monday, September 27 at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Istanbul, Turkey. Tickets for the banquet are on sale now at www.stevieawards.com/iba.

    Winning 32 Stevie Awards this year, organizations and individuals in the United States made the best showing. South Korea, last year's big winner, came in second with 22 Stevies. Host nation Turkey earned 13 Stevies, while the United Kingdom won 12. Canada and the United Arab Emirates follow with six and five, respectively.

    Notable winners include:


    • Multinational Company of the Year in Europe: BASF;
    • Executive of the Year in Asia (China, Japan or Korea): J.T. Wang,
      chairman and CEO, Acer Incorporated;
      CSR Program of the Year in the Middle East and Africa: Mercedes-Benz
      South Africa;
    • Most Innovative Company of the Year in North America: Equipois Inc.
