Spring has finally sprung!

Spring has officially sprung and hopefully soon enough we will be feeling those sunny rays. In line with spreading some sunshiny vibes around, Greenpop in celebration of Spring and their recent Trees for Zambia project, is throwing their second Cool as Folk party at Assembly this Saturday. We'll check you there! In other music news Rise Against is announced as international headliner at Ramfest 2013.

Foodie contributor Nina Timm shares her latest weekly recipe - this week a serving of Pork Nirvana is on the menu. Fancy yourself as a bit of a wine expert or lover and would like to show your appreciation for your favourite wines other than by consuming them? Then get involved with the nominations for the #Klink wine tourism awards.

In theatre news, Debbi Hathway reports back on La Rosa Spanish Dance Theatre's flamboyant production of Peña Flamenca, and Daniel Dercksen enjoys some black comedy in the form of play, Murderer.

New competitions this week include two tickets to either the Cape Town or Joburg Grietfest, and a discount voucher for an enmasse massage.

Happy post Spring Day!

Ruth Cooper, production manager (@biz_lounge)

Luckily for me, we still have some very cold nights and, in the morning, I still prefer to have my coffee in bed rather than on the stoep. I love winter, I love comfort food and, let's face it, if I have to choose between a healthy salad or healthy soup, the soup will win hands down! Read more >>

Intimate Peña Flamenca
[Debbie Hathway] La Rosa Spanish Dance Theatre returns to Muizenberg's Masque Theatre with Peña Flamenca, a new work that honours the authenticity of flamenco and its historic origins. The idea for the show was influenced by the context of artistic director Carolyn Holden's Master's dissertation, which centres on cultural transmission. It's a fly-on-the-wall experience of how a peña might look and feel at origin (a sought-after experience for those looking for a taste of authentic flamenco in Spain). Read more >>
