Mike Bosman, the Group CEO of TBWA South Africa, has announced that the MD of TBWA\Fusion in Cape Town, Ewan Veitch will be taking up a position within the TBWA Group in a worldwide role, based in Paris, from the first quarter of 2006. The position of agency MD will be filled by Nicky Swartz, the current Client Services Director of the agency, who is undergoing a handover with Veitch which will be completed by March 2006. Swartz officially takes up the role of MD on 1 January 2006.
Veitch relocated from the UK in 1998 to establish TEQUILA\Cape Town, thereafter he successfully oversaw the merger of TBWA\Hunt\Lascaris Cape Town and TEQUILA\Cape Town in August 2003, becoming TBWA\Fusion.
Nicky Swartz has been with TBWA\Fusion, Cape Town since 2002, prior to which she spent 10 years in the industry in London. As Business Director, then Client Service Director of the agency she has successfully managed a portfolio of clients that includes Adidas, Medi-Clinic, South African Post Office and Woolworths.
