In today's world of business, project management has developed into a strategic and integral function of companies. Although firmly in its ascendancy, the project management office (PMO) is faced with a number of challenges that can inhibit effective implementation. The key to unlocking the potential of the PMO is to steer clear of preconceived notions about what it takes to manage a project, to become a centre of excellence for the organisation and to avoid dogmatic attachment to one project management 'religion'.

New management graduates from Arabella, Swiss School of Tourism
