Since the 1980s, indoor tanning has become increasingly popular and is now estimated to be a $5 billion business that serves about 30 million people in the United States each year, most of whom are young, Caucasian women.

After an intricate vascular medical procedure performed at the Netcare Ferncrest Hospital in Rustenburg last week, 68-year-old Johannes Kloppers now has a functioning heart.
