The South African National Editors' Forum (Sanef) has strongly condemned the incident in which EFF deputy president Floyd Shivambu physically attacked Netwerk24 photographer Adrian de Kock within the Parliamentary precinct in Cape Town. A video shows how Shivambu attacks De Kock after he asks him to delete a picture De Kock had taken of him.
Sanef is expected to take the matter up with the EFF and has welcomed De Kock's decision to go to the police to lay a charge of assault against Shivambu. It has also called on authorities to thoroughly investigate the complaint so that Shivambu may be held accountable for his actions.
