To offer the South African marketing and promotional companies seasonal brand campaigns and connectivity with brand ambassadors, field work automation company Retech SA has partnered with South African beatboxer George Avakian to create mobile applications.
Seasonal, targeted apps offered by new partnership

The applications are aimed at:

    • brands who are looking for a short-term mobile application for a specific promotions.

    • promotional companies wishing to connect and manage their field teams, promoters and brand ambassadors from anywhere at any time using a mobile app.

"It would cost anything between R100,000 and R500,000 to develop an app and, after the app is completed, one is often left to fend for oneself. Also, any extra additions or changes to an app are charged for separately. This ReApp platform allows the company to develop and host Android & iOS apps for clients from R5000 - R20,000 per month (with a once-off development fee of R10,000), and this includes ongoing support, limitless number of additions or changes," explains Retech SA's COO, Lebogang Mokubela.

"For one month, a client may use the app to run a 'drive-to-store' competition within channels (download the 'x brand' app on play store, scan the QR code in-store and stand a chance to win x) and the following month, the same client might use the app for its in-store promoters/field reps to capture merchandising or customer feedback. This flexibility in the technology allows the company to provide a competitive offering for the marketing industry where apps are paid for only when used."
