The couch is up for grabs to all Scooters Pizza lovers through an SMS competition.
As part of an assignment, students at the University of Johannesburg's Department of Design and Architecture were asked to design a couch that was not only aesthetically appealing but also had all the bells and whistles that any green- and gold-blooded South African would appreciate.
The couch, valued at R75 000, is said to be a work of art all on its own: a two-seater with red and black cushions and trimmings. But… it's what you can't see that really makes this couch amazing, according to Scooters.

The cold ottoman has its own high tech Engel fridge freezer that'll keep your beer nice and chilled while the hot ottoman contains one of Scooters Pizza's very own scorcher bags designed to keep you Scooters Pizza piping hot throughout the game.”
The technology of the couch runs off of its own rechargeable battery. There is also storage space so the ultimate sports fanatic never really has to leave the couch while the game is on.
“It really is an amazing piece of machinery and if I had my way; it would be sitting in my lounge at home,” concludes Gonzaga.
