The event was part of Reach for a Dream's “Queen for a Day” project. The girls were treated to a variety of dances and taught how to perform one, and there was a ceremony they were all crowned “Queen for a Day”.
Queen for a Day's aim is to raise the self-esteem and self-confidence of girls facing a life-threatening illness. Every little girl dreams of being a beauty queen with all the trimmings! In association with the Queen For a Day project in the USA, Reach For A Dream has officially launched the project in South Africa.
