Sandton Convention Centre wins Diamond Arrow

The centre has been continuously acknowledged by PMR.africa in its annual awards for six years. The awarding of this accolade and the diverse selection of awards presented to the venue over the last 12 years can be attributed to its ability to deliver consistently on a variety of aspects in the conferencing, exhibitions and meetings arena.

The PMR Awards are based on a national survey of perceptions of the venue, with a major emphasis on customer satisfaction. The survey is conducted telephonically, using a random sample of 50 individuals and organisations in the relevant arena and focuses on 17 attributes including accessibility, catering, cleanliness, reputation and flexibility. The process is further regulated as the organisation, department, institution or individual cannot enter the research process but must always be nominated and rated by the respondents.

Award categories

There are three award categories based on ratings: the Diamond Award entails a minimum rating of 4.10 out of 5 and is bestowed upon the first overall venue; the Gold Awards requires a minimum rating of 3.75 out of 5 and is conferred to first or second overall venue; and lastly the Silver or Bronze Award has a minimum requirement of a 3.40 rating out of 5 and is awarded to first, second or third place.
