Men's Health brings its readers the BestLife

On the back of the success of Men's Health, Touchline Media have launched BestLife - a new men's lifestyle magazine. BestLife is aimed at the more mature male with 144 pages of advice on how to live a great life.

Issue zero (on-sale August 8th) will carry a reader survey where readers will be encouraged to complete the questionnaire - all with a view to BestLife becoming a stand alone magazine towards the middle of 2006.

Interim editor Andy Ellis says: "The Men's Health guy is out to push his limits. Live to the max - be better, harder, faster in all aspects of his life. Where Men's Health speaks to the guy powering through his life's journey, BestLife caters for the guy who has already made his mark, achieved his success and arrived at his life's destination."

BestLife magazine is for the guy in a mature life stage and offers a practical guide to helping him balance what is important in his life: an established family, success at work, having fun and living with a sense of purpose.

Ellis says the magazine acts as a field book and concierge service, showing men how to spend their two most precious resources - time and money - wisely, while enjoying a satisfying and fulfilling life.

Andrew Sneddon, publisher of Men's Health and now BestLife, says: "For close on three years now we've monitored the growth of BestLife in countries like the USA, Germany and Spain and due to its recent success and popularity we decided to test the magazine in South Africa.

"Advertisers welcomed the opportunity to target an older market that isn't being tapped into at the moment and we honestly believe that BestLife will fill this gap - internationally it's a magazine that's written for smart sophisticated men, by smart sophisticated men."

BestLife has a cover price of R32.95 and it'll be sent to 15 000 Men's Health and Golf Digest subscribers, with 45 000 copies being placed on the newsstand.
