The annual Checkers/Shoprite Toy 4 Toy campaign opened on Monday, 12 November at the group's retail outlets around the country and runs until Friday, 7 December 2012.
The group has teamed up with the Nataniël Progress Project and BADISA for the Toy 4 Toy campaign, which urges consumers to donate new or used toys to needy children. For every toy that consumers donate towards this campaign, the group will donate something too.
Through the public's generous giving during last year's Toy 4 Toy campaign, the group was able to distribute more than 7000 toys amongst needy children across the country.
Customers, who buy a new toy at the supermarkets to donate to this project, also stand a chance of winning one of ten vouchers to the value of R5000. The ten winners will be announced on 19 December 2012.
