The funds raised will be spent on various upgrades at the branch. Pinky Veer, an SPCA representative, says, "Our three areas of focus right now are upgrading our puppy kennel facilities at an estimated cost of R60 000, upgrading a swimming pool which we would like to use for therapy treatment on animal amputees at an estimated R140 000 and building a new operating theatre in our clinic at a cost of R200 000."

Warrick Nel, a Wimpy operations manager, says "The Wimpy team, without seeking reward or recognition, sacrifices its own time to causes which touch its heart for honest and reputable institutions like the Tshwane SPCA. Hopefully the funds raised through this initiative will at least temporarily ease its burden and we are happy to have made a small difference to its plight."
