Milk for one

Parmalat has launched new 20ml single serve milk pods with the aim of expanding its product offering to the food service and hospitality industries.

According to Vanessa Schreyer, marketing manager milk and cream at Parmalat, the new milk pods offer several advantages compared to the 14ml single portion products on the market, which are mostly all imported. “The smaller single serve is simply not enough for a cup of coffee, with the result that 2 x 14ml portions need to be served. This is costly and ineffective. With the convenient 20ml pack size of the Parmalat milk pods only one need to be used.”

Available in full cream and low fat UHT milk, the pods have a pull tab opening. It comes in packs of 100 units, with an outer carton serving as merchandiser as well.

The milk pods will be distributed to food services distributors and general wholesalers, as well as leading HORECA chains and groups. It will also be available at catering wholesalers. Limited retail distribution is planned.
