The maiden Rogue Rally was not only a resounding a success but was also methodically filmed and edited by the Studio Republic team. With a nine-member crew, three HD cameras, 15 GoPro cameras, five handy cams and a helicopter, the high-speed cars and scenic landscapes were shot from every angle.
"For our inaugural rally we needed to make a serious impact through our TV series and capture every glorious moment. For this reason we chose Studio Republic whom we have worked with before. From a Rolls Royce Phantom, to Ferraris to McLarens, the event showcased the finest engines in the country as well as their distinguished owners. The many hours of footage will be edited into a six-part TV series to be broadcast on 14 September on DStv Ignition channel 189.
"To be a part of this magnificent event, a first in SA, was truly inspiring. The team behind the Rogue Rally created a spectacle that my crew and I were honoured to be a part of. It was thrill followed by thrill, all the way from start to finish," said Darren Kerr, Executive Producer at Studio Republic.
The Rogue Rally, which is sponsored by ADreach and BAM, will once again keep thousands of eyes glued to the road, next year. Studio Republic specialises in Production, Post Production and Animation and is based in Paulshof. It has in-house technical and production crews and facilities that include full HD Edit Suites, a State of the Art Recording Sound Booth and studio facilities.
