Benefits
Subject to certain conditions, the mentorship entails R30,000 to produce the body of work that the recipient proposes to do, covering the costs related to research, travel and other supplies. Based on availability of funds, the mentorship can be extended to an exhibition and a publication of the produced body of work should the work merit such.
A panel of judges appointed by the Market Photo Workshop, including panellists from The Tierney Family Foundation, will participate in the selection process. Shortlisted candidates have to be available for an interview soon thereafter. Judges need to be satisfied that the chosen project proposal has merit; that the candidate will be able to manage the project, and that he/ she is likely to derive lasting benefits from the mentorship. The Market Photo Workshop retains the right to request applicants to edit proposals.
A briefing session on further information about the fellowship and application requirements will be held on Monday, 22 April at 1pm at the Market Photo Workshop. Please note that only short listed candidates will be contacted.
All applications must be submitted by email to az.oc.pohskrowotohptekram@neikeb and copied to az.oc.pohskrowotohptekram@momelom. For more, go to www.tierneyfellowship.org or www.marketphotoworkshop.co.za.
