Red Bull and Monster are the popular energy drinks in SA as they are in various other countries worldwide. In April‚ Coca Cola was rumoured to be interested in buying Monster which has been valued at around US$13bn‚ but has being in talks with Monster.
Nathan Browne‚ owner of marketing company "The Bridge Brand Marketing"‚ said on Wednesday that Battery had not decided to get one mass distributor yet.
"In terms of what we are dong and the way forward is that we are now expanding our market exposure and sales distribution.
"I have not stated that we are looking specifically for a mass South African distributor as this is not always a solution to a brand. What we are looking for is a team of people or distributor who will share and carry the same passion for the brand as we do‚" he said.
He said it was seldom a brand found one distributor that could service all the channels within the market space and‚ as a consequence‚ Battery would support teams that were professional in certain expertise to ensure that the brand delivered a consistent standard of service.
Battery Energy Drink tastes less sweet than Red Bull. It contains caffeine‚ Guarana and preservatives. It also comes in a sugar-free flavour.
