Spur appoints Pierre van Tonder as CEO

Spur Corporation (SUR) today, 2 March 2012, announced that Pierre van Tonder had been appointed as the group's chief executive officer.

He was previously the company's managing director.

The group also announced the appointment of Mark Farrelly as chief operating officer - previously he was deputy managing director of the company.

"Ronel van Dijk's title as group financial director was re-designated to chief financial officer of the Spur group.

"Kevin Robertson was appointed to the board of Spur group as franchise executive. Pursuant to this appointment, the board accepted his resignation as a director of Spur," the company said.

It added that Phillip Joffe retired as a director of Spur, following his request to devote more time to his personal affairs whilst continuing to be actively involved in a managerial capacity in the financial activities of the Spur group.
