High traffic products you can start selling on the Internet

Doing business on the Internet, and developing a home-based business offering both a great income and freedom is the dream of millions of people worldwide.

As many people, or even more, are trying to build an Internet component to their normal off-line business, trying to attract customers from all over the world and expand their client base.

But how do you actually decide which products to sell?

What is it that people are actually looking for?

It serves little purpose to start your Internet business without a clear idea that people what people want and what they are looking for. It doesn't matter whether you are trying to expand your off-line business, whether you are trying to start a new online business or whether you are looking to get involved in online auctions. If people are not looking for your product your chances any great success is limited.

So let us look at what people are actually looking for.

These are actual searches done on Overture (and their partners) during a single month. These searches are random search terms I found on the Net and not necessarily the highest search terms. Although some are high ("fantasy football" at nearly 2,5 million searches) there probably are other search terms that are a lot higher.

Overture combines singular and plural search terms so you need to be careful how you use them. Use Wordtracker to fnd more information about the singular and plural searches.

The following list is given as an eye-opener to the opportunities that exist on the Net. This list gives you a search term, a term people are actually using to look for information or products, as well as the number of times it was searched for in a month on Overture.

NB. This list is a randomly compiled list and does not mean that these are the search term with the highest searches or with the best chance of making money.

Use Overture's suggestion tool at http://inventory.overture.com/d/searchinventory/suggestion/ to do your own searches for more high volume search terms.

Use Wordtracker at http://www.wordtracker.com to refine the search term and distinguish between singular and plural searches, i.e. gift vs. gifts. Wordtracker will also help with determining the popular spellings, i.e. web site vs. website and cook book vs. cookbook. Keep in mind that Wordtracker gives you projected daily searches while Overture show actual monthly searches.

You can easily build an Internet business around one or more of these terms:
1. Using your own products
2. Developing information products
3. Promoting affiliate programs
4. Establishing Joint Ventures
5. Building member sites
6. Selling products on online auctions
